General Questions

  • We kindly request that all tours are by appointment only. You can request a tour here.

  • We required a $500 non-refundable deposit and a signed contract to reserve your date.

    • To reserve a date email us at info@brokenhornok.com saying you are ready to book XYZ date if it is still available. Prior to booking a date, we hope you are able to come out in person to visit the barn. You can request a tour (or a Facetime tour if you live out of the area) on our tour request page, but an in person tour is not required prior to booking a date. Dates are reserved on a first-requested basis. Whoever has requested to start the contract process from us by email first for a specific date will be first in line.

    • Yes! When the contract is signed, to continue holding the date, we require a $500 booking fee to be paid. Twelve months prior to the event 50% of the remaining fee will be due. The final installment will be required 30 days prior to the event. You are welcome to send smaller, partial payments of any amount prior to the specified due date, so in effect creating your own payment plan on your own schedule. Full payment is due by the specified due date. We also reserve the right to request a credit card on file for any damages to the facility or grounds. Tax is applied to each payment.

  • We accept cash or credit card.

  • There are several Airbnbs located nearby or a vast number of hotel options located just 20 minutes east off I-35

  • We only host one event per day.

  • We have an open vendor policy (excluding security)

  • Yes, we require that all alcohol be served by a licensed and insured bartender. Security is required when alcohol is being served.

  • Yes! You have a 1-hour rehearsal that is included in the venue rental. We typically schedule the rehearsal during the week leading up to your event (depending on venue availability)

    You also have the option to add-on a 5-hour rehearsal dinner for an additional fee.

  • In the case of rain, we have a beautiful backdrop indoors with our barn doors. Guests can either sit at their tables or the BHR team can line the chairs in rows to create a beautiful aisle. After the ceremony, we simply ask guests to take their chairs to their table.

  • All music must be turned off and alcohol must stop being served by 11:00pm

  • We love dogs! However, we do have a few stipulations:

    -Dog(s) must be pre-approved by the BHR team prior to the event.

    -Dog(s) must be on a leash at all times.

    -Dog(s) must be in a crate if left in the suites.

    -Dog(s) are not allowed in the back pasture near the longhorns.

    -Dog(s) must be picked up after outside.

    -Please provide documentation that all vaccinations are up to date 30 days prior to event.

    -Someone other than the bride/groom will oversee the dog(s)

  • No, vehicles need to be off the premise when event is over. We do recommend you inform your guests of this policy.
